OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is a condition that causes people to have intrusive and recurring thoughts that are unwanted and unnecessary. These intrusive thoughts often cause people to waste time and energy in an effort to make them go away. The symptoms act as a heavy weight that burdens people and can decreases their time and effectiveness when doing normal day-to-day tasks
Schizophrenia is a mental illness in which a person becomes unable to link thought, emotion and behavior. This often leads to withdrawal from work, school or personal relationships.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is a condition that can manifest as heightened emotions, distressing memories, nightmares, difficulty sleeping and dissociative reactions and many others. Don’t know where to start or don’t know if what your experiencing is a psychiatric condition? That’s ok. Every patient that is seen receives a thorough diagnostic workup. Sometimes patients are seen and it is found that their concerns are not due to a mental health condition or would be better addressed by another specialty or specialist. When that happens we are happy to point you in the right direction and give referrals if needed so that you get the right care.
